Alright, let’s talk about Oatmeal! Why does she want to talk about Oatmeal? Because Oatmeal is so good for you, for your belly, FOR THE WORLD! Now shhhh…
Oatmeal has a really bad rep’. It’s boring, it’s bland, it’s mushy, it’s all around not the greatest idea for a bomb breakfast. Oh but it can and should be.
Think of Oatmeal like a blank canvas, lot’s of flavortunity. Salty- sure you can, Sweet- absolutely.
Here’s my current go to Oatmeal Recipe…
What Do You Need:
- 1/2 Cup Quick Cooking Oats
- 1/2 Cup Almond Milk
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1 Tablespoon Almond Butter
- 1 Small Banana
- 1 Squeeze of GOOD Clover Honey
- 1 Tablespoon Walnuts
- 1 Dash Cinnamon
In a microwave safe bowl, add in your liquids, Cinnamon, and Oats. Stir well, and microwave for 1:30 to 2:00.
Once the cooking is completed, allow your oatmeal to cool slightly. While you are waiting slice banana, then cover the top of the oatmeal with your banana slices.
Add some Almond (or Peanut) Butter to the top and Honey. Sprinkle the top with Walnuts.
VOILA, A breakfast that will stick to your tummy, in the best way, until lunch time
Not a Banana kind of person, use chopped apples!
This is meal prep friendly, add your dry ingredients (oats, cinnamon, and walnuts) to a Ziploc baggy or a microwave safe Tupperware. Bring your liquids with you and a banana!
